Alas, poor lizard [Monday, December 7th, 2009 @ 10:41am] missmurchison Somehow, I was struck by this plaintive little story in the local paper: Mason City officials say one person was injured in a fire that apparently started when a shoe placed next to a heat lamp in the top of a fish aquarium overheated. The fire happened Sunday afternoon at a mobile home. Officials say the fire was contained to the aquarium that was a housing a lizard. Fire Capt. Richard Paulson says one person was injured and taken to a Mason City hospital. The person’s name was not immediately released. Paulson says the lizard died in the fire. Poor lizard. [Sunday, December 6th, 2009 @ 11:27pm] sassylime This guy I grew up across the street from, who is the same age as my little brother and good friends with him, was apparently watching the Nutcracker play that our elementary school did every year with the first graders. The year he and my brother were in it, obviously. This play was seriously lame, with the same dumb script every year, but adorable because every kid in the grade had a part. When I was in it, I got to be a dancing snowflake. When my little brother did it, he was a mouse, and our neighbor friend Dustin was a nonmagical partygoer. (He got to deliver the memorable line, "A cookie is a cookie and a cupcake is a cupcake.") My older brother was a snow guard and stood against the back wall, because there were too many kids and not enough parts that year. Anyway, Dustin took a couple pictures of the screen and posted them on Facebook. So here is my little brother back in 1992! ( Cut for photoage, also they are grainy ) In other news, I'm downloading episodes of Meet The Browns because Renee's PB is in it. I already had one episode she's in, and I really like her hair - shoulder-length and curly, and her makeup is more natural-looking than in Bratz. I'm hoping to get some decent icons from it, but the episodes I download aren't really great quality, so I don't know how successful it'll be. 2 charmed | cast a spell
